When using solid wood panels, do not forget that wood is alive and moving! We recommend you follow these guidelines:

Correct storage
Panels must be stored in closed areas, if possible at controlled temperature, laying the panels flat on dry supporting strips placed at a pitch of not more than one metre. The panel stack must be completely covered to protect it against damp and surface damage.

Interior decoration
Changes of temperature and humidity can cause shrinkage, swelling and deformation of the panels. We recommend panels be kept in areas with constant climate and not too dry.

Use outdoor and in damp areas
Both single- and multi-layer panels must be installed with the surfaces and the edges and corners carefully protected (e.g. in the case of window shutters).

Building large wood structures
For this application Nordpan has received authorisation Z-9.1-465 from the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik, attesting the characteristics and the qualities of the product.

Use of solid wood panels with 3 and 5 layers
As to norm EN 13353 for use in dry, damp and outdoor areas: all our multi-layer panels are produced in conformity with the requisites of standard CE EN 13986.
